About Me

Peter at Work
Hello, my name is Peter Palmer. I have been making images for almost 40 years now. It all started with a Zenith E. Built like a tank and most likely made from a tank. I soon progressed to a proper SLR, a Chinnon, which if I remember correctly was Dixons own brand.. From there I bought a Pentax ME Super. With that superb machine I exposed over 5000 images, mostly on Fuji Velvia Film. I dread to think now how much I spent on film processing. Around the mid nineties I built my own darkroom and learnt how to process film and prints. The magic of seeing a print appear in chemical tray never fades. I then discovered Nikon which were my work horses for the next 30 years. I have now invested in the Fuji X system cameras and I have rediscovered my photographic Mojo. I own 2 x XT2 and a variety of lens which are absolutely tack sharp. The colours from these machines is superb I am at my happiest when out in the Landscape recording all Natures wonders and glory. Remember though, do not make the adventure just about the photograph. Allow yourself time to absorb your surroundings and just appreciate what is on offer.
